Description
This work was a compilation of various short fragments I put together for the Kensington Symphony's composition contest, which I won with this piece.

The fragments are from 1978-1983

Yes, the second movement is "Psamls" misspelled in honour of my history teacher. The troubadours James & Robert are my friends James Jacobs the cellist and Robert Mealy, baroque violin.

The final has been revised (2015) to recapitulate the opening brass fanfare, which rounds out the work.
